Caramel kisses brownies – rich, fudgy, ooey-gooey brownies with chewy edges and packed with Caramel Hershey’s Kisses

Caramel kisses brownies - rich, fudgy, ooey-gooey brownies with chewy edges and packed with Caramel Hershey's Kisses

How do you like your brownie? Fudgy? Cake-y? Filled with chocolate goodness? With or without nuts?  Jam-packed with Hershey’s Kisses? Right now, I’d take any of them, as long as they are brownies. My schedule for the rest of the week is pretty busy and you know, a little bit of chocolate keeps me going. Of course, I wish I had some of these brownies left.

These caramel kissed brownies are everything you want in a brownie. They are rich, fudgy, ooey-gooey center with a thin crust on top and, of course the best part, the chewy edges! Add to that dripping caramel kisses, sticking to your fingers while biting into one brownie.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (113 grams) room temperature butter
  • 1 cup (200 grams) packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup (90 grams) all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup (60 grams) unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 bag Hershey's caramel kisses, unwrapped
  • 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Heat the oven to 350F. Line an 8 inch square pan with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl cream the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2 minutes.
  3. Add the 2 eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Add the vanilla extract and mix. Scrape the sides of the bowl.
  5. Slowly add the cocoa powder, salt and flour and stir until just combined.
  6. Reserve 3/4 cup. Spread the remaining batter in the prepared pan.
  7. Add the caramel kisses and arrange them on top of the brownie batter.
  8. Mix the reserved 3/4 cup brownie batter with the remaining egg. Pour it over the caramel kisses.
  9. Bake the brownies in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes.
  10. Remove from the oven and cool completely before cutting them into bars.

UM. WHOA. That it is all. :) This looks way better than those "slutty" brownies or whatever. Or maybe they just look easier to make.

Hi Michele, I'm sorry to hear your brownies didn't turn out as you were expecting them. The only thing that comes to mind tight now is maybe you baked them longer. I'd be more than happy to help you figuring out what when wrong. Please don't hesitate to email me your questions. Roxana
