Simple but elegant, this silky chocolate ganache coconut tart with a flaky, tender almond crust will be the center of attention to any special occasion.

There’s absolutely no secret I love rich, smooth chocolate ganache and have been using it to fill a couple of tarts and have lost times how many time I ate it with the spoon straight from the bowl. It’s one of my weaknesses. The moment I hear the word chocolate ganache I’m hooked.
I’ve had this chocolate ganache coconut tart on my do-to list for what it seemed like ages and was so happy when my friend Sylvie chose it as her family favorite.
But it wasn’t an easy challenge. And I’m not talking about recreating the recipe, but about taking the pictures. Sylvie is a professional photographer and me … well, let’s just say I’m a chocolate lover!

The tender shortbread like crust takes less than 5 minutes to make, by mixing together almond flour and shredded coconut with just a few drops of maple syrup and coconut oil.
The coconut flavor carries into the chocolate ganache also, since the recipe calls for coconut milk instead of heavy cream.
The tart is decorated with toasted coconut flakes and macadamia nuts for a buttery, nutty finish.
The tart is gluten free and vegan and has absolutely no sugar added. Talking about guilt free desserts.

Gorgeous, Roxy! I just adore Sylvie’s recipe for this healthy but decadent chocolate dessert. It’s not only vegan, but paleo as well. Beautiful rustic photos, m’lady! Thank you for sharing!
Oh my goodness Roxana! This is incredible! That thick fudge layer is amazing! You pictures are stunning.
Oh my, Roxana, this tart look scrumptious.
this looks fantastic….think it would work in the rectangle tart pan I bought for the Apple Dulce de Leche Tart, which I have not tried yet (the pan is at our other house but we will be having it for Thanksgiving.)
Hi Donna,
I think there’s a little too much filling if you’re using the rectangle tart.
If you’re giving it a try, let me know. You made me curious now
Roxana
