Caramel milkshake

August 20, 2015 by Roxana 5 Comments

A little sweet, a little salty and oh so creamy, this caramel milkshake is my latest drink obsession! A little sweet, a little salty and oh so creamy, this caramel milkshake is my latest drink obsession!

I can honestly say this summer has been the busiest of them all. Few months ago I was so looking forward to summer to lay back and relax and now, that summer is coming to an end I can say I’m so looking forward to fall.

Maybe this school year is not going to be as crazy as the previous one.

Maybe I get more organized.

Maybe I teach myself to wake up a little earlier to get a few things done before Tiffany wakes up and we have to start out school work.

Maybe this year I won’t juggle answering emails while watching the soccer game/practice.

Maybe this year the only social media time won’t be just during the 30 minutes of piano lesson.

Maybe.

There are a lot of maybes.

One this I know for sure is, no matter how busy my life will be, I will not give up my 5 minutes of coffee break in the morning and another one in the afternoon.

In fact, in the last couple of days, my afternoon coffee break has been replaced with a milkshake break. You’d think that is fall is around the corner the temperatures drop, but not a chance. It’s just as hot!

Milkshake keep me cool!  And this caramel milkshake is my newest obsession! Sweet and salty and oh so creamy, it’s hard not to make yourself one every day.

And considering it only requires 2 minutes and 3 ingredients I really don’t see what’s stopping you!

There are a few secrets to making the best milkshakes.

  1. You need the best ingredients possible! For these milkshakes you’ll need vanilla ice-cream, International Delight Caramel Macchiato coffee creamer and a thick caramel sauce (homemade or store-bought – I prefer [Fleur de Sel Caramel Sauce from Trader’s Joe|http://amzn.to/1K9ASiv])
  2. You need to chill your glasses for at least 30 minutes before making the milkshake. Pouring the milkshake into a warm/room temperature glass will make your milkshake melt faster and won’t be as thick and creamy as I like it)
  3. Serve immediately! Milkshakes are to be enjoyed as soon as you make them. Freezing your milkshake for later will not taste the same.
