Iced coffee floats

June 2, 2015 by Roxana 12 Comments

Create the most irresistible summer treat in less than 5 minutes. Iced coffee floats! No soda required!

Floats are synonymous with summer vacation and with the temperatures getting hotter and summer quickly approaching I thought it would be fun to put a twist on a childhood sweet treat – a grown up version of ice-cream floats!

I love coffee! Sip on it. Bake with it. Iced. Frozen. In a cupcake. For breakfast. I love it all!

There’s no surprise my favorite part of the day is the coffee break.

I do my best to find a few minutes each day to just sit down and sip on some coffee. It refreshes me. It puts things in a new light.

Coffee break needs a sweet treat to go with it as well. You all know I’m a sucker for desserts. I can never say no. It’s like I have zero will power.

During the hot summer days, desserts must be accompanied by a large scoop of ice-cream! Around here, summer involves a lot of ice-cream! And iced coffee! Must have iced-coffee!

But you know what’s better than iced-coffee and ice-cream?

Iced coffee floats!

I sort of make my iced coffee floats upside-down.

Instead of starting with a scoop of ice-cream and pour coffee over it, I start with a strong shot of coffee, some International delight iced coffee and finish with two generous ice-cream scoops.

Of course, you can start with the ice-cream by I prefer it this way.

For this iced coffee floats you can use any flavor of International delight iced coffee or chai tea latte and your favorite ice-cream. iced coffee floats recipe 4

There’s no exact measuring. Just some cold black coffee, International delight iced coffee and ice-cream.

The creaminess and sweetness of both International delight iced coffee and ice cream help create multiple layers of flavors.

If you’re looking for a refreshing iced coffee beverage or for a refreshing summer treat, these iced coffee floats combine the two and they are absolutely irresistible! And the fun part? It takes less than 10 minutes to make it!

Do you take at least a 10 minutes break each day? How do you enjoy it?

Ditto! I believe some people thrive only after they have their fix. I am one of them. I also love it any way I can get it! Thanks for your insight on food. I'm a fan!
