Creamy velvety cheesecake sweetened and flavored with dulce de leche and just before serving topped with drizzles of warm dulce de leche. Easy as 1-2-3 with only 4 ingredients!
A few years ago, right after I had Tiffany I knew almost no one in my community. With a husband working a full time job, some days I found myself lonely. I needed someone to talk with, someone I could share what’s going on in my life, a shoulder to cry about motherhoods. I needed a friend who would listen to me no matter the nonsense I would talk about.
Fast forward a couple of months later I joined a stay-at-home moms group in my community. It felt good, but I knew there’s room for improvement. Until one day
at the park I meet her again, totally random. We started talking like we’ve known each other for years. With kids somehow close in age, we could both relate to each other’s problems.
Our friendship grew over time, lots of scheduled playdates, home visits and plenty of mommy talk. It felt and still feels good. I found that mom who had ears to listen to me, a flexible schedule to call in for a last minute playdate or someone I could ask for a favor no matter what.
My friend is a special friend and this holiday season is a little bit different for her. Something has changed leaving an entry chair at the table, even if it is for a short period of time. She loves holidays but tries to keep her mind busy with other things to appear strong in front of everybody. She’s a wonderful strong mom, inside and out. And I’m happy to be her friend.
This season I’m going to put a smile on her face. She loves cheesecake, almost as much as I do and although for the last couple of weeks she received lots of sweet treats from me, I’ve made her another cheesecake the other day. Dulce de leche cheesecake.
Thanks to Nestle La Lechera Dulce de Leche Cheesecake Kit, making this cheesecake was a breeze. I know I could have make it in various shapes (individual cheesecakes baked in a cupcake tin or bake it in a brownie pan and cut into bars) or add some chocolate like I did with my last dulce de leche cheesecake, but I wanted this cheesecake to be simple and easy going, just like our friendship.
The Nestle La Lechera Dulce de Leche Cheesecake kit can be found at your local Walmart, most likely in the baking center. While you’re there you’ll have to grab some butter, cream cheese and eggs.
That’s all you need to make this cheesecake. Just follow the instructions from the back of the box and enjoy this creamy rich caramel cheesecake with your loved ones.
Happy Baking,
