I’ve made these peanut butter and chocolate chip bars a couple of weeks ago, just before we left to visit my mother in low. She has a sweet tooth, just like me, and I knew these bars would be perfect to nibble on at her house.
They are soft and tender, a little chewy, somewhere in the middle between blondies and cake bars.
The brown sugar adds not only flavor but moisture as well while the vanilla yogurt keeps these bars moist longer. You could use plain yogurt and if you do so, you may wanna add about a teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Looks delicious! I love peanut butter 🙂
These look out of this world good! SO MUCH PEANUT BUTTER GOODNESS! Excited to be a part of a great day with you! Pinned
Omg! These look like peanut butter chocolate HEAVEN 🙂 Need!
These look fabulous! You come up with the best stuff (and I am SOOOO grateful I don’t live on your street…nothing personal, lol)! This was a fun day to be a part of! Cheers!
I make a chocolate peanut butter no bake candy every year at the holidays. They are always devoured, long before I need them to give away as gifts. Then I have to make more!
I never thought to add yogurt to my brownies but think it is a great idea to keep them nice and moist. Thank you!
What a great texture on these bars. They look light and yet are packed with such chocolate and peanut butter goodness.
Three glorious cups of peanut butter… I think I’m in love!
These remind me of something I used to have as a kid. Brings back great memories! Yum!
Whoa, do these bars look incredible, Roxana! Love the addition of gooey chocolate chips and the peanut butter chips!
Roxy, your PB and chocolate chips bars look out-of-control peanut buttery good! (3 cups of peanut butter? Yesss.) I need to make them asap. I’m loving this PB and chocolate fest, too. Thanks for sharing!
Such a perfect snack!! I feel like I want to have a bag with these tasty bars in them wherever I go!
What a perfect bar recipe.
What lovely thick squares of peanut buttery, chocolatey deliciousness, Roxana! I love a chewy bar and yours look just about perfect!
My husband would LOVE these in his lunch box. Time to get baking!
I love these so much, I can’t wait to make them 🙂
I love peanut butter cookies with milk chocolate chips.
YES PLEASE!!!! Mmmmm! Love the idea of yogurt in them, bet that makes them even more moist and cakey! Cant wait to give this a try. As of next week I am only allowing myself one sweet a day to focus on my nutrition for my upcoming races…..I think a giant slab of this will be a few days worth!
I love love love peanut butter!
Yogurt and peanut butter… I bet these are so moist and rich! I love it!
Roxana, I wish I were eating a pan of these bars for breakfast! I love how you describe them as inbetween blondies and cake bars. I can see how soft and chewy they are just by looking at your gorgeous photos!
Roxana, oh my gawd. These peanut butter and chocolate chips bars look SO GOOD! Damn, those first few shots are like perfection. LOVE!!!! I want one!!
Gorgeous bars, these are PB perfection!
You have double-duty this week–both recipes working well for Chocolate Peanut Butter Day! LOVE it! The celebration can’t be contained to one day!
Roxana I love that you used yogurt in these! I must try it!
It’s a good thing you can’t get fat just from looking at food, because I’m pretty sure I’d have gained 5 lbs just from looking at all those delicious photos! Love the idea of using vanilla yogurt for both flavour and moisture. So smart!
Hmmm, I think I actually have PB Chips in the pantry. Might have to whip up a batch of these later! As far as chocolate and peanut butter go, I love that combo pretty much any way I can get it, but one of my faves is the peanut butter ball recipe I make.
Just look at all this chocolatey, peanut buttery, flaky goodness! I want it all!
Hi Roxana! Wow, these bars sound and LOOK fantastic and beautiful photos! Thanks so much for sharing at Best of the Weekend and pinning – have a happy Saturday and a wonderful weekend!
One of my pet peeves is when recipes don’t enough chocolate chips. I think you pretty much got it covered with 3 cups 😉 Can’t wait to try these.
Mmmm, when’s dessert?
Wonder full, so going to bake on Saturday, can ii add 1 cup of peanut butter chips and 1/2 cup of white chocolate chips.
The recipe calls for 3 cups of chips (half peanut butter chips and half chocolate chips) If you’re using only 1 1/2 cups the bars might turn out different
Wow is all I can say about these yummy bars … I have my 3rd batch in the oven and I only found this recipe here a few weeks ago. I attend a Tuesday night trivia event every week and I’ve become the “baker” of the group, I always bring in a cake for our players birthdays and lately when we have no event to celebrate, I just bring a goodie. These have been requested for the 3rd time now, they are totally a hit and so easy to bake. I love that they are loaded with chips, but I’ve begun to add half a bag of caramel bits as well, they add an extra unexpected bit of flavor. Thank you so much for sharing this bar recipe … they are a go to and one that my daughter has now requested that I write in to her special recipe book.
Hi Tania,
You just made my evening! Thank you so much for the sweet words. So happy to hear your friends enjoy these bars! I really appreciate the feedback.
These look really good but Im a little confused with the recipe. You say there is 3 cups of peanut butter in them but there is no peanut butter listed in the ingredients, only one and a half cups of peanut butter chips and no indication of peanut butter in the directions.
Hi Beth,
I apologize for the confusion. It’s peanut butter chips and chocolate chips, and yes, combined that’s 3 cups of chips. Half of them are peanut butter, the other half are chocolate.
There’s no actual peanut butter in the recipe, that’s why is not listed. Just the chips.
You definitely don’t have to twist my arm to get me to try these!
