I’ve made these peanut butter and chocolate chip bars a couple of weeks ago, just before we left to visit my mother in low. She has a sweet tooth, just like me, and I knew these bars would be perfect to nibble on at her house.
They are soft and tender, a little chewy, somewhere in the middle between blondies and cake bars.
The brown sugar adds not only flavor but moisture as well while the vanilla yogurt keeps these bars moist longer. You could use plain yogurt and if you do so, you may wanna add about a teaspoon of vanilla extract.

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter, room temperature
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup vanilla yogurt
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 cups peanut butter chips
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 350F. Line a 13X9" baking with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a mixing bowl, with the paddle attachment on, cream the butter and sugars until light and fluffy, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, scraping the sides of the bowl with a spatula, if needed.
- Beat in the vanilla yogurt followed by the flour and baking powder.
- Turn the mixer off, and, with a spatula, fold in both the peanut butter chips and the chocolate chips.
- Spoon the batter into the prepared pan and bake in preheated oven for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely before cutting into bars.
