Sweet, creamy and satisfying, this 3 ingredients berry and greens smoothie is my new go-to fast and easy breakfast drink.

Sweet, creamy and satisfying, this 3 ingredients berry and greens smoothie is my new go-to fast and easy breakfast drink.

This year has been full of surprises. Despite all the things going on in my life, I’m so proud of myself. I managed to stay on track of mt new year’s goal – develop better habits. And yes, that did include not reaching for that 5th cookie or that 3rd slice of cake.

When hunger and cravings strike, now I treat myself with a smoothie. Smoothies are so versatile! Not only they are so easy and fast to make, but you have an endless list of ingredients you can combine to make yourself a healthy satisfying drink.

I love making my smoothies fruit based. I’ve never been a veggie girl and leafy greens are not my piece of cake.

Using lots of fruit in my smoothies eliminates the need to add sugar making them easier to drink. For better results, I highly recommend using frozen berries. Doing so, you don’t have to add ice-cubes which will water down your smoothie. If you do not have frozen berries, arrange the fresh berries on a baking sheets and place into the freezer for about an hour before making the smoothie.

For this smoothie, I used a blend of strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries.
cashew milk

Once you have your frozen berries and a handful of leafy greens add them to your blended along with Silk Cashew Milk.

I love using Silk milk in my baking and adding some to smoothies makes them so smooth and creamy. On top of that, Silk cashew milk is so low in calories and fat. Only 25 calories per serving!

This berry and greens smoothie recipe makes two servings. One for you and one for your sous-chef (making smoothies is a fun project with the little ones) or one for now and one for later!

For an extra kick, especially if you’re craving chocolate, add a generous tablespoon of raw unsweetened cocoa powder to the blender and mixing the smoothie.

I love smoothies and have one every morning. It makes me feel like no matter what else I eat for the day I have a helping of fruit and veggies. I am dying to try this cashew milk. I haven't seen it yet in my stores.

I haven't tried cashew milk yet! I'm still stuck alternating between coconut and almond. Must throw some cashew into the mix - if for no other reason than to make this smoothie! Pinned!
